LOVE NOTE
Bright Light,
I’m sitting in my backyard on a warm summertime day in the forest where I live in the Pacific Northwest. The air is so sweet, gentle, still, and calm. I wish you could hear this chorus of birds chirping and singing in the trees while woodland creatures scurry about their activities harmoniously doing what they do. I wish I could fill your heart with peace.
This peaceful moment is in stark contrast to the anxiety ridden, contracted, disturbed energies running through our Collective Global Human Family that I’m simultaneously aware of.
I imagine you too may be aware of living within this paradox.
Many of my friends and clients tell me they have been experiencing an undercurrent of constant tension, like an energetic pressure cooker that manifests through many challenges such as: worry about finances or violence, feeling muffled and stifled when wearing face masks, or grief about the loss of easy social contact.
Some report feeling overwhelmed by a sense of urgency and desire to do something and guilt because they don’t know an authentic way to contribute to global solutions.
Our world is going through such a difficult time and it IS A LOT to be a part of. Even if we’re not consciously aware of all the specifics of the multiple crises we are facing, some part of us knows the entire picture and it can be challenging to discern how best to respond in ways that are healing and that will bring us together as a world population.
Recently, I asked one of my courageous Soul Stream Life Coaching clients: What’s the one most important skill you have learned during our work together for understanding your triggers and thus restoring peace and successfully navigating your daily life challenges and choices.
Here is what this wise client said:
“All I need to do is get quiet for long enough, be in the feeling, lean back into True Self and the solution always (eventually) comes. Then I practice trusting and acting on it. This gives me the most liberating freedom because I no longer have to seek the reflections or directions from others in order to know what’s right for me or what to do.”
It sounds too simple to be true and we’ve heard it a zillion times, but it IS true and we sometimes need to be reminded. The wisdom, healing, answer, insight and solution we seek can be found within.
The ability to make and maintain connection and communion with True Self is THE fundamental skill and capacity required to function in a vibrant, peaceful, creative, energized state of mind regardless of changing conditions.
And, our State of Mind has a direct effect on all our interactions and collaborations. It’s possibly the most essential and ultimately impactful contribution we could ever make through the ripple effect throughout the relational field.
When we are vibrant, optimistic, motivated, and inspired we will invoke these frequencies in others. With practice we can learn to fully trust our internal guidance system, follow it without hesitation and develop the ability to meet any situation from an empowered place — one that is True Self: aligned, balanced, peaceful, and calm.
