My friend, Angel, recently shared the “Havening Technique” with me. I’m passing this self-healing tool on for you to check out, if you haven't already. It’s a simple and apparently quite effective healing method for addressing the effects of adverse childhood and later trauma effects in the body-mind system. When I tried it, it felt like petting my cat, only the cat was ME, while offering suggestions to my
subconscious.
This technique has been used with children and adults to keep the sequence above the same with amazing results. It is sometimes practiced by actually bringing up difficult feelings or memories, and doing the technique amidst those feelings. But it's also a preventative practice. Something you can do several times a day, no matter how you are feeling.
