Beautiful Heart,
In last weeks email I shared about my “Mt Madonna car accident-Spiritual Awakening” (If you missed it, click HERE). The effects of that startling “Awakening Event” continue to unfold and integrate.
Many thanks to those who wrote with loving concern, kind words, and reflections about their own “Awakening Events” (both traumatic but more commonly, quite subtle).
Here is a note from Susie:
“Car accident as holy communion. Yes I've had a few of those....broken neck, electrical injury, childbirth. I too am grateful from the glimpses into awakened mind.”
Or this note from David:
“Your account reminded me of sitting on a rock with you and looking into the water; seeing the sky reflected, the surface moving and the stones at the bottom and moving into a total sense of peace.”
Gratefully, although my car was totaled, I walked away without significant injuries and yet “TOTALED” in different way, through an expansion of consciousness. I experienced everything that occurred during that event as one seamless TOTALITY of Awareness.
This car accident was one of the many, but usually much more subtle, “Awakening Events” I’ve experienced through out my lifetime. For example, when I was 12 my Mom took me to an ashram and an Indian guru initiated me. He touched my forehead with peacock feather, gave me a mantra, and taught me how to meditate. This unleashed a jolt of energy in my body so intense I couldn't stand still to wait for the bus home with my
Mom. I ran around the block first! But, that’s another story!!!!
I'm sure you too have many stories and I would certainly love to hear them, if you feel inspired to share.
Looking back at such glimpses or shifts during my own journey and also witnessing my coaching clients, I've noticed that many “Awakenings” go almost unnoticed and unacknowledged because of the naturalness and subtly. Such as, can you remember a witnessing a glorious sunset, for example, and for a brief time became that beauty, that feeling, that vision?
Whether we know it or not, everyone is in an “Awakening Process”. According to the “ 9 Pathways of the Soul” represented by the Number “7, our human potential includes the possibility of awakening from the illusion of separation into Unity Consciousness. It is on this path that we awaken to the unconditional qualities of Higher Self: unconditional love,
peace, and happiness independent of circumstance.
Although everyone’s “Awakening Process” is unique, we are all in this together!
