Beautiful Heart!

As Transformational Leaders, living a Higher-Self-Guided life, every day is a spontaneous emergence even with the best-laid plans. We really don’t know what is going to happen next but can learn to trust there IS a divine unfolding.

Will you trust Higher-Self to guide you today?

Yesterday was a good example of divine unfolding. It was basically a home-retreat day that included a long leisurely visit with a friend. We shared lunch and tea. We relaxed on the earth basking in the energy of summer sunshine enjoying the simplicity of being, the forest and fresh scent of river in the air. Before she left we meditated into an even more expanded state of open, feeling, alive presence.

It was in this sensitive, open state that I opened a letter announcing my soul-friend of decades and artistic collaborator, Reverend Paul Shaffer, recently died peacefully in his sleep.

This news came as a total surprise! As far as I knew Paul had been perfectly healthy.

After a few minutes of initial shock, an upsurge of grief coursed through my relaxed and open body-mind without any resistance what so ever. I cried really hard for about five minutes as waves of emotion broke my heart open even more. And then, it was done.

I woke up this morning with a lingering heartache, feeling the tender soul imprint of all the moments of shared Presence from our time of wonderful friendship with Paul. A sweet feeling of love and gratitude.

Will you trust and flow just a little bit more today?

I also feel immense wonder and gratitude as I notice how Higher Self guided my day prior to hearing of Paul’s death. The relaxed state I was in before receiving the news, made it possible to fully present to feel the emotion of this sudden human loss directly, quickly and completely.

Shall you let the River of spontaneous arising take you?

P.S. Reverend Paul Shaffer and I attended the University of Creation Spirituality’s Doctor of Ministry program together. Although a dedicated minister, Paul was first and foremost an artist! He created much of the artwork I’ve used for Life Blessing Institute training and marketing materials. I've included some examples below.
