Hello Bright Light!
For us who dwell in the Northern Hemisphere, winter solstice marks the longest night and shortest day of the year. Meanwhile, on the day of
the December solstice, the Southern Hemisphere has its longest day and shortest night. This special day is Thursday, December 21.
No matter where you live on Earth, a solstice is your signal to reflect and celebrate!!!
I ADORE this time of year and am
peaking out from my eZine hibernation to share holy-days best wishes
to you and yours with a GIFT!!!
It’s dark and cold outside this time of year where I live near Portland,
Oregon. Inside, heart flames of love and generosity are bursting forth in flurries of spiritual and relational gatherings, celebrations, and gift exchanges in many homes and families.
I find the essence of these rituals of Light and “Giving” very beautiful and symbolic of the true meaning of the
season.
In the spirit of joy-in-giving, I want to acknowledge and celebrate my past and current soul-coach clients, course participants, and eZine readers, with a very special video offering.
It's
called, Winter Solstice: Illumination of Possibility and takes about 5 minutes to view. It illuminates the reason and meaning of Winter Solstice and encourages contemplation and prayer to honor the SOURCE OF LIGHT during this seasonal gateway.
I'd love to hear from you about your winter holy-day practices and realizations. Something I learned from Nature during this time of year is that, although
many trees in my backyard appear to be dead, it's during the winter their trees roots are most intensely growing!!!
What's happening in the quiet "dark" provides a more solid root system for the trees future thriving when the light returns. Could this be true about us human's too???
May this important transitional season bring you and the people in your life together in celebratory joy and inspiration!
From my heart to yours...Always Love,
Georgette Star MA,
D.Min
