UPDATE ON UNCLE DAVID
My 82 yr old Uncle David, who was evacuated when his home was at risk during the recent Santa Rosa fires in California, is well and that his home was spared. I talked about his situation during these fires in last
week’s eZine.
Uncle David shared a story about stopping to fill up for gas after being evacuated. A man at the next pump asked him if there was anything he could do to help.
Uncle David asked for prayer and was overwhelmed in amazement when the man stopped filling
his tank and prayed out loud for several minutes right then and there!
Many thanks to those of you who reached out to me to express compassionate spiritual support for my Uncle and for the well-being of all involved in this catastrophic natural disaster.
There continues to be great need
for support in that community as the work of healing and rebuilding lives begins. Prayers and blessings offered, especially for the places and people who need it most, really can help the world to Shine.
I was touched that my Uncle was able to ask a stranger for help with his need for spiritual support in the
moment when it really mattered. The compassionate response from the man at the gas pump gave him comfort and encouragement.
