Today is a special day in the region of planet Earth where I live.
A Total Solar Eclipse will become visible in areas nearby my home, beginning around 10:00 AM! Click here to read the facts.
While the
solar eclipse on August 21, 2017, begins at about 9AM in Oregon, the Total Solar Eclipse (this link is to Nasa site) starts at around 10AM and fully darkens the sky as our moon completely blocks the sun for about 2 minutes! Then the sun begins to return in Oregon and is back in full view by about 11AM. The solar eclipse continues to traverse earths skies across North
America and exits the continent on the Atlantic coast of South Carolina!
Join me to ‘tune in’ to the mythic archetypal dimension of a total Solar Eclipse to discover what meaning it might hold for you.
For me, this cosmic event illustrates and symbolizes
the marriage of sun and moon, a divine love making of polarities.
This solar eclipse can be an invitation to examine our perception of duality in which each thing is understood in relationship to its opposite: light in relation to darkness, tall in relation to short, good in relation to evil, self to other, wave to particle, spiritual to material, beginning to end, male to
female, living to dead, etc.
What if we could shift our identification with duality and expand to embrace all opposites as aspects of a encompassing non-dual reality?
Is it possible to be everything and nothing simultaneously?
During the solar eclipse there will be a brief time when all is darkness…
