LOVE NOTE
Hello Bright Light,
I’m sitting outside listening to a nearby (loud) woodpecker, cooing dove, and other forest
birds singing their songs, enjoying the early morning air and sunshine. A hummingbird just swooped in looking for breakfast. Life is “humming” around here!
Sunday was my first Mother’s Day without my Mom, who transitioned to her next journey just 3 weeks ago. I always created a family dinner around her on this important day. Yesterday, we dined without
her.
I remembered a conversation I had with my Mom years ago during which I shared how much I feared the pain I knew I would feel when she died. I was so afraid I wouldn't make it through such a big loss without falling into the pain and getting lost in it somehow. She then suggested that she would wait to die so that we could die at the same
time.
How precious is that?
What a beautiful expression of a Mother’s love!
I assured her QUICKLY that this wouldn’t be necessary!!!! I promised that I would work hard
to develop my capacity to be with and transform my grief and to connect more fully with the deeper truth of our eternal connection through our relationship with the Divine. And I have been actively doing this ever since.
According to the “9 Pathways of the Soul”, the development of our connection with the Soul dimension of self and with the Divine is represented by the Number “7”.
