Hello Bright Light!!!

A couple of weeks ago, we completed the final round of filming for The Woman’s Rite—a

documentary I’ve been midwifing, alongside an incredible team, for nearly three years.

Soon, we will be ready to schedule a premiere this summer for all who have supported this

creative journey.

As we enter the final stages of post-production it’s hard to put into words

the joy and relief of arriving at this moment—the culmination of so much vision, devotion,

and love.

At the heart of this journey is a powerful metaphor: the formation of a pearl.

Just as a pearl is created through time, pressure, and transformation, so too is a woman’s

(and everyone’s) potential to become a living wisdom pearl—luminous, resilient, and whole.

I’ve continued to integrate my rite-of-passage experience through my art journal—exploring

the archetypal expression of what is possible within us as we awaken to the deeper truth of

Earlier this month there was a situation in my life triggering anxiety. I found my thoughts tumbling into the what if's. One of those situations was about the final filming of footage for The Woman's Rite documentary.

Because I once told myself I was too old to dance at an Ecstatic Dance event, I ended up doing exactly that—in front of a camera, surrounded by a community of people, most of whom I didn’t know.

Even though I knew it was the right thing to do, for an introvert like me, it was a real stretch!!!

I do my best to practice choosing to be with whatever is present in the moment—even when uncomfortable and make an effort to offer myself the same compassionate embrace I so easily give to others. Won't you join me in this practice?
