Grandmother Shirley — my amazing mom — kept a journaling practice for most of her adult life. Over time, her journal evolved into what she called her Q & A with God.

She would begin each entry like this:

Q) Here is my question. What say you, Holy Spirit?

A) Then she would write…letting the words flow through her, imagining herself as a conduit for divine response.

In the Pacific Northwest where I live days are getting shorter, darker, and colder! Self=care routines that used to work, such as long summer sunset walks late in the evening, no longer do. Cosmic Care Giving invites discernment for a reset to what's important and restructuring for the season at hand.

It's important! I want to feel well enough to care for others well.

This time I want to approach my reset with kindness, forgiveness and compassion towards the many ways I've fallen short with self care intentions in the past.
