Hello Bright Light!
In a world unraveling at the seams (hopefully in service of renewal), cultivating the resilience of our physical and metaphysical core is not optional—it’s essential.
In many metaphysical and energetic traditions—yoga, Taoist alchemy, subtle body anatomy, and somatic healing among them—the central core channel (also called the sushumna nadi, pranic tube, or central meridian) is considered the primary energetic axis of the body. When aligned and strong, it supports clarity,
vitality, intuition, and spiritual awakening.
While my commitment to show up and contribute to our collective Awakening remains unwavering—and writing a monthly blog has long been one of the ways I honor this devotion—this month has been different.
Instead of crafting a blog post, I’ve been rerouting the energy I usually pour into writing toward strengthening my own core channel. This metaphysical “core workout” has included near-daily art making, long walks in Nature, and time with soul friends.
So here’s my wisdom pearl for you
today:
Your core strengthens every time you slow down, and redirect energy from distraction or depletion toward grounding, creativity, nourishment, and inspiration.
There are many ways to nourish the core
channel. What works best for you?
If you’re not sure, you might simply begin—like I’ve been doing every day—by asking.
Here’s a gentle Ask & Listen to Your Core Channel exercise you can try right now.
It will only take a few minutes:
Core Channel Self-Guided Practice
Find a quiet moment to turn inward and
access your inner wisdom. Breathe deeply. Ground and center your awareness in presence.
Ask your Core Channel directly: “What do you need from me to become stronger, clearer, and more unwavering”?
Pause. Listen. Be still. Receive.
Perhaps you hear a word, feel a sensation, or see an image. Perhaps you receive only silence. Trust what arises.
Now ask: “How can I support you
when I feel challenged, reactive, or overwhelmed?”
Let your core channel guide you.
Thank your body, breath, and inner wisdom for this connection.
Feel yourself grounded and uplifted—rooted like a tree, radiant like the sun.
Silently affirm: “I am aligned. I am resilient. I am a living conduit of love and awareness.”
Take a final deep breath. Exhale slowly. When you're ready, bring your awareness back to the outer world and carry this inner strength with you into the rest of your day.
Love Always,
❤️ Georgette Star MA, D.Min
