Hello Bright Light!Â
Â
Autumn is a time of completion with the peak of the growing season moving into the bounty of harvest. Here in the Pacific
Northwest, Mother Earth is starting to show off her seasonal beauty, the deciduous trees adorning themselves in bright reds, oranges, and yellows.Â
Â
As the days shorten, these brilliant splashes of color help us make the transition from light to dark. They are reminders of the fall harvest as well as the harbinger of the deep stillness of the coming
winter.Â
Â
After a recent shared meditation my friend Joanna described resting in Pure Awareness as an invitation to open the heart like a peacock expanding its iridescent feathers to the warmth of an inner light. This description feels like the essence of the season to me, an invitation to let the heart
open wide to receive a harvest of blessings from within.Â
Â
For me, this seasonal change offered up the excitement of the successful completion of the final days of filming for The Womanâs Rite documentary. This last phase went deep into the exploration of how ageism affects women and the profound importance of community and
support on the journey to vibrant and empowered elderhood. To read more and see behind the scenes photos from some of the filming days, click here.
Â
Up next in the winter months for The Womanâs Rite project will be the post production editing and finishing process, with Spring 2025 being the projected release date. More updates to come.
Â
In the near future for me, I am looking forward to being interviewed by Rick Archer for
Buddha at the Gas Pump (Batgap) October 27th. I highly recommend checking out this wonderful archive of Conversations with âordinaryâ Spiritually Awakening People. Iâll let you know when we are going live and when my interview is posted at batgap.com.Â
Â
Wishing you a bountiful harvest season!Â
