Here's what the December card "Beauty Dancing" means to me:

Once I’ve done what I can do for today—eased the edges of suffering in myself, tended to the needs of those I love, and offered what I can to the greater web of humanity—it is time to surrender. To let go and let God. Let go and let loose. Let go and expand back into the wonder of existence.

In this moment of release, I return to the child of wonder within, the one who knows how to twirl in the sunlight or snowfall, unburdened and free. The one who delights in the sheer beauty of being alive.

I return to the heart of mystery, to the goodness that is not earned or fought for, but simply is. It is here, right here, and now—in the air I breathe, in the pulse of my heart, in the boundless sky above and the earth below.

To dance freely is to reclaim the beauty that we sometimes lose sight of amidst the effort and struggle of daily life. It is to remember that even in the face of sorrow, there is joy. Even in the midst of chaos, there is an ever-present stillness waiting for us to become it.

Today, I choose to remember what I sometimes forget—that life is both profound and playful, heavy and light, fleeting and eternal.
